HR Administrator

  • Manage all payroll and HR queries
  • Prepare contracts for new starters
  • Send out contracts and create personal files for all new starters ensuring that all documentation is present and completed
  • Request employment references for all new starters
  • Support the HR Manager and Business Partner to perform on-boarding programmes are process efficiently
  • Produce probation reminder emails for line managers and inform employee of probation extension, failure or success
  • Draft employee letters in relation to; salary changes, leavers’ letters, statement of earnings, maternity and paternity, overpayments and any other ad-hoc employee letters with direction from the HR Adviser
  • Manage leaver process, which includes, arranging/ conducting exit interviews, collecting company property
  • Liaise with our payroll provider and all employees relating to monthly pay
  • Collate and input all relevant information relating to payroll on a monthly basis (i.e. new starters, leavers, tax codes, contract changes, childcare vouchers, pensions, sickness, lateness and maternity/paternity pay, benefits, overtime)
  • Update the payroll data to reflect changes in a timely manner
  • Issue P45s to leavers
  • Ensure all employee files are maintained and updated
  • Embed and keep updated employee trackers and retail best practise HR processes with support from HR & Recruitment Manager
  • Maintain an awareness of HR best practice at all times
  • Any ad-hoc projects given by HR & Recruitment Manager

This individual needs to be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. The role involves volume administration and relies on accuracy in relation to inputting data onto the HR and Payroll system and the processing of contracts, offer letters and payroll. 

  • Experience within either the retail or hospitality sectors is advantageous  
  • Strong understanding and experience of customer service standards is essential
  • Previous employment within a high volume recruitment / staffing environment essential due to fast moving nature of the business
  • Previous administration experience is essential
  • Previous payroll experience is desirable
